My client, a well-established company based in Quedgeley are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part qualified accountant who is looking for a challenge and the opportunity to develop within a growing organisation. You will be responsible to carry out all aspects of accounts production, from invoicing to reporting.
Description of duties:
-Production of departmental management accounts and all transactions to include sales ledger, purchase ledger and nominal ledger
-Month end journals
-Help with the production of the monthly departmental project results and work in progress calculations.
-Assist with data preparation for year-end audits.
-Other tasks as directed by the Finance Manager and Finance Director.
-Work with information technology and associated systems in accordance with the policies and contribute to its improvement.
-Studying towards an accounting qualification (eg CIMA or ACCA) or qualified by experience
-Experience of working in a management or financial accounts team.
-Have a good understanding of accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
-Excellent financial administrative skills.
-High level of excel skills.
-Experience of Sage 50 and MS office is desirable
-Good IT general experience and knowledge.
Hours- Monday- Friday 8 - 5pm
Salary- Up to £28,000
